Case study: Arctic Energy Summit 2017
The event organized by The Institute of the North at Finlandia-hall focused on arctic energy issues. DC Events Oy provided livestreaming for the event's three seminar rooms.
The multi-disciplinary event attracted over three hundred industry officials, scientists, academics, policy makers, energy professionals and community leaders from over ten countries to collaborate and share leading approaches on contemporary Arctic energy issues. Organized by Institute of the North and Finland's Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment, the event was the first large arctic event during the Finnish Chairmanship of the Arctic Council.
Hosted by Alaska’s Institute of the North, in collaboration with the Finnish Ministry of Employment and the Economy, the Arctic Energy Summit highlighted the Arctic as a leader in renewable energy development and integration, and exporter of world-class knowledge and expertise.
Program from the event's three seminar rooms was broadcast on the Internet to remote viewers who were able to watch the seminar together with the slides in high quality, synchronized to the video stream.
To add variety to the broadcast and provide more usable camera angles while keeping the solution compact, we used remotely controlled HD robotic cameras placed throughout the venues. An on-demand recording of the webcast was also produced for later viewing.
Working with DC Events team on the Arctic Energy Summit was great. We'd strongly recommend them for any conference AV/webcasting work!
